Some of my work

Let's face it. You probably don't need to re-invent the wheel to have a presence online.  You just want to be found on the internet.  Maybe a place where you can describe what you are doing, a few pics and how visitors can contact you.  It doesn't have to be complicated or expensive.

My name is Rob.  I've been a network engineer for the last 16 years.  Prior to that, I worked for 18 years as a graphic artist in NYC.  I have spent some years, now, webmastering for my own enterprises, as well as my friends'.   I know enough about how things work on the web to get an effective site up and running quickly.

I am far from the ultimate in Website Design.   I ain't no Google, either.  But I do alright with some templates, a few scripts and good marketing ideas.  I intend for my service to be personalized.  I know you need your site to work.  I know you might need to ask questions.  I know, for sure, you will eventually need help with troubleshooting, of some kind.  If you are one of my customers, you will have the kind of access to me, that you would demand from any of your other vendors.  'Nuff said.

Blogging is fun.  Lots of people are doing it for lots of different reasons.   I do most of my blogging, for free here at Google's Blogspot.  You can sign up for a free blog account here.

The Internet is about communication and you may want to be one of the communicators.  Maybe you just want to talk about your grandchildren, or maybe you want to market the greatest thing since sliced bread.

If you don't need your blog to look unique, then you can probably go with the couple of designs that are available with the account.

A Sample Project

OK, so you know what you want to say.  You have your free Blogger account, and you want it to look just a little more special than the supplied templates.

  • Contact me:  Show me your blog.  Give me an idea of what you are trying to do.  During this exchange, I will be thinking of any Blogger supplied gadgets, as well as third party scripts may help you out.  From our conversations, i will be trying to put together design ideas that will best suit your purposes.  I will also be trying to determine which of your information will be static, or semi-static and which items will be "time-related", so keep that in mind.
  • Look at Samples:  I will send, or upload one, or more, rough samples.  We'll see if I am going in the right direction, and I will take your changes.  After some discussion and a rough draft, or two, we should have something going for you that will stand out and look professional.
  • I will Back up your old blog:  I back up all the time, and that's what I am going to do before we upload your new blog.
  • I will upload your new blog:  I back up all the time, and that's what I am going to do before we upload your new blog.
